The Time Has Come, My Little Friends, To Talk of Other Things

Hello, hello! Yes, my last Paleo post was in August of last year, and though I’ve had an inner debate as to whether or not I’d continue this specific blogging journey, I’ve resigned to the fact that this phase has run its course for me.

Why are you abandoning PiP?

Over the last six months there have been LOTS of changes in my personal life: bought a house, went on a decorating and organizing bender, took on new part-time work in addition to my nutty full-time position, got another kitten, traveled, and more … there’s been nothing paleo about my lifestyle for a while. Rather than force myself back onto the paleo path strictly for writing material, I’m looking for a new project to take on!

Is paleo a big, fat waste of time?

Not at all!!! The paleo community as a whole is AMAZiNG, and being a part of it (if only for a while) was an awesome thing. The paleo diet did wonders for me – but being a foodie and loving my wine just made it difficult to sustain long-term. I’m looking forward to more of a clean-eating/real-food approach over cutting out specific food groups. Liz Wolfe is a great resource if you want to learn more.

Are you done blogging?

Nope.  If this experience taught me anything it’s that blogging is something I’ll always enjoy. I’ve had so much fun writing again, and it was incredible connecting with people and sharing experiences last year.

Do you have any idea what kind of blog is up next?

… not really. If you’ve ever checked out my LinkedIn profile, you’ll see that my brain is just all over the place … I was using this blog as a bit of an experiment, as I am on an ever-evolving search to find my professional niche in life. I’m currently taking a Skillcrush Blueprint and have some people to whom I owe WordPress sites … hopefully you’ll see those in the next couple months!

Is PiP being deleted from the web?

No way! I’m proud of what Jeanie and I accomplished last year, and judging by our interactions with followers (and our mailing list!), we created something that was pretty darn fun. While being a professional paleo blogger isn’t going to be the end-all-be-all for me, I don’t regret this project in the least, and I hope it will continue to be a resource as people explore the paleo community. I’ll still be reachable by email, and happy to answer any questions you might have!

Til the next time we cross paths, thank you for an incredible ride!

For the Love of Food,
